The facts….

I’ve been making making music since the year 2000 and been a DJ since a while before that. I listened to Westwood back when he was on Capitol and before he became the very strange man he is today. Although he doesn’t know it, he gave me my education in hip hop. Now when I realised that two of the tracks he used to use to talk over weren’t programmed beats but straight up looped tracks of OLD music….my youthful mind was totally blown. The eyes and ears became wide open and a whole bunch of other stuff came rushing in.

A while later I started off making beats on a computer using samples from wax. By that time I was listening to way more styles of music. Drums and horns was the order of the day. Poly-rhythmic percussion was a big thing and still is. I loved the art of sampling and still do.  I also now love the art of writing, playing, recording and more recently, singing.

I have had the good fortune to know and work with various talented people along the way, including Nostalgia 77, Alice Russell, Abdominal, Andreya Triana, DJ Food and Elodie Rama. There will be more collaborations to follow.
